A Chinese company has signed a contract to purchase 100,000 tons of Thai Jasmine rice valued at over two billion baht.
The pre-sale contract was presided over by the trade representative and involves San Chong Food Import and Export from China, Tanasan Rice, and the Marketing Organization for Farmers from Thailand.
The deal includes 90,000 tons through Tanasan Rice and 10,000 tons through the Marketing Organization for Farmers. The transportation will be supported by the company GML affiliated with PTT through the rail system from Thailand to China. The main Chinese consumers are located in Sichuan Province.
Miss Narumon expressed hope for increased rice exports and the expansion of agricultural products to China.
