Successful Outcomes at TTM+ 2024
Bangkok, 18 July 2024 – The Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2024, held from 5-7 June in Khao Lak, Phang-Nga, significantly contributed to the Thai economy. Survey responses from participants indicate an estimated 4,428.98 million Baht generated. The event, themed ‘Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End’, supported high-value and sustainable tourism aligned with the ‘Ignite Thailand’s Tourism’ vision.
Record Attendance and Business Engagement
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, highlighted the event’s success, noting it surpassed nearly all targets. TTM+ 2024 saw 418 buyers from 50 countries and 430 sellers from Thailand, with 100 media representatives in attendance. The event facilitated 14,792 business appointments, far exceeding the target of 3,500, demonstrating strong confidence in Thailand as a preferred tourist destination.
Sustainability Efforts and Future Plans
The event’s sustainability efforts included the ‘Zero Waste to Landfills’ initiative, effectively managing 2,701.4 kg of waste and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 1,139.67 kg carbons. This environmental effort is equivalent to the absorption of CO2 by 126.63 trees annually. TTM+ 2024 also supported local communities with food donations. The next TTM+ event is scheduled for June in Chiang Mai.
