Thailand’s Tourism Authority and UnionPay International have signed a partnership to promote quality tourism experiences for Chinese visitors. The agreement aims to stimulate travel and spending in Thailand.
Enhancing Cooperation for Quality Tourism
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and UnionPay International (UPI) have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to promote Thailand’s quality tourism experiences for Chinese visitors and UnionPay cardholders. This agreement aims to strengthen strategic partnerships and facilitate travel to Thailand for Chinese tourists.
Strategic Partnership for Chinese Market
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, emphasized the importance of the TAT-UnionPay International agreement in supporting the Thai government’s tourism policy. With China being one of Thailand’s largest markets, the collaboration will focus on developing and promoting quality tourism experiences in Thailand for Chinese visitors.
Stimulating Chinese Tourists to Visit Thailand
The two-year LOI between TAT and UnionPay International will involve joint marketing initiatives, data sharing, and outreach efforts targeted at UnionPay’s high-end clients. The partnership aims to inspire Chinese tourists to visit Thailand, increase spending on tourism products and services, and enhance understanding of their consumption behavior.
