The 42nd Thailand Tourism Festival
The 42nd Thailand Tourism Festival is set to take place from 28 March to 1 April 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok. Organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the event will showcase distinctive tourism offerings with an emphasis on soft power and subculture. This year, the event will also focus on sustainability with a ‘Zero Waste to Landfills’ initiative, expecting to attract 150,000 visitors and generate 20 million reaches.
TAT Governor’s Statement
According to Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, the Thailand Tourism Festival 2024 will highlight the unique identity and attractions from five regions across the country. The event will promote sustainable tourism practices while leveraging digital transformation and the ‘partnership 360 strategy’ to encourage year-round travel. The festival aims to inspire travellers to explore new travel experiences in Thailand.
Event Highlights and Zones
The Thailand Tourism Festival 2024 will feature tourism offerings from the Central, Eastern, Northern, Northeastern (Isan), and Southern regions of Thailand. With nine prominent zones, visitors can experience a range of activities such as virtual travel experiences, regional showcases, traditional performances, music concerts, and sustainable tourism initiatives. The event will also include a Main Stage with cultural and contemporary performances, as well as a Thai Tourism Alliances Zone that will showcase tourism stories from TAT’s partners.
