The Tourism Authority of Thailand is participating in the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024 in New Delhi, India, from 22-24 February. SATTE is the largest annual travel fair in India, gathering over 35,000 trade visitors and offering a platform for travel and tourism industry professionals from around the world.
Thailand’s Participation and Expectations
TAT’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, expressed that the exhibition is an excellent opportunity to showcase Thailand’s unique tourism offerings and sustainable tourism direction. The Amazing Thailand Stand was opened by Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol and Thailand’s Ambassador to India, along with TAT Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chote Trachu. The goal is to secure over 5,000 business appointments and reinforce Thailand’s position as the preferred tourism destination for Indian travelers.
Promoting Sustainable Tourism Practices
The Amazing Thailand Stand at SATTE 2024 presents the “sustainability” concept with displays of local craftsmanship unique to different regions of Thailand. This aligns with TAT’s strategy to promote a more sustainable travel culture under its own Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs). In addition to business discussions, TAT hosted an ‘Executive Luncheon’ for India’s leading tour operators and an Amazing Thailand Media Briefing.
