Thailand to be prominent set for HBO’s The White Lotus season 3
Season 3, set in Thailand, is scheduled to premiere on HBO in 2025, following the success of the first two seasons set in Hawaii and Sicily respectively.

TAT partners HBO for filming of “The White Lotus” season 3 in Thailand
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that Thailand will be the prominent set for HBO’s Emmy-winning anthology series, The White Lotus, season 3. Filming is set to commence in February in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui. Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, expressed the honor of featuring Thailand as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season.
She highlighted the kingdom’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites, and diverse landscapes as the perfect settings to showcase the country’s culture, cuisine, wellness offerings, and Thai hospitality.
The first two seasons were filmed at two Four Seasons hotels – The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, and San Domenico Palace, Taormina. The third season should also take place at one, or several, of the luxury group’s Thai properties. The Four Seasons group has four properties in Thailand: a riverside retreat in Bangkok; a hotel set amongst the rice fields of Chiang Mai; a tented camp in northern Thailand, and a spectacular resort on the island of Koh Samui.
TAT has partnered with HBO for filming and promoting The White Lotus season 3 in Thailand, which will star notable actors along with two Thai actors, Dom Hetrakul and Tayme Thapthimthong. Janet Graham Borba, Executive Vice President of Production for HBO & Max, expressed her pleasure in partnering with TAT to showcase all that Thailand has to offer as the next group of guests check in to the White Lotus.
The White Lotus Series and Future Premieres
Created by Mike White, The White Lotus debuted in 2021, set in Hawaii, and has received numerous Emmy nominations and awards. Season 3, set in Thailand, is scheduled to premiere on HBO in 2025, following the success of the first two seasons set in Hawaii and Sicily respectively. The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony is also anticipated to celebrate the series’ success.
