Vijit Chao Phraya 2023: A Phenomenon of Light and Colour Shows
The ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023’ event opened in Bangkok with light shows, cultural performances, and fireworks along the Chao Phraya River. It will run until New Year’s Eve.
The Vijit Chao Phraya 2023
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) celebrated the opening of the ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023’ event with extravagant light-and-sound shows, projection mappings, fireworks display, and cultural performances at five main locations along the Chao Phraya River. This 31-night event will run until New Year’s Eve and will culminate in the Amazing Thailand Countdown 2024.
Vibrant Festivities
The event falls under the Thailand Winter Festival and Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Tourism and Sports, expressed that it symbolizes the Thai government’s invitation to tourists from around the world to come and experience the vibrant festivities of Bangkok and ring in the New Year 2024 in Thailand.
Unique Activities
The event runs till December 31 and includes nightly extravagant light shows at five locations along the river. Each location has unique activities, such as the 3D laser show at Rama VIII Bridge and the light-up or light mapping show at Wat Arun, Wichai Prasit Fort, Memorial Bridge, and River City Bangkok. The event aims to illustrate Thailand’s rich history and cultural heritage in a series of extravagant multimedia light shows.
