SEC announces 2025 holiday schedule for securities and derivatives firms

SEC announced 2025 holiday schedule for securities companies and derivatives operators, granting extra holidays for certain provinces on Eidal-Fitr, Eidal-Adha, and Chinese New Year if not already holidays.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the 2025 holiday schedule for securities companies and derivatives business operators, as follows:

3. Monday	7 April	Substitution for Rama I Memorial Day and ChakriMemorial Day (Sunday, 6 April 2025)
4. Monday	14 April	Songkran Festival
5. Tuesday	15 April	Songkran Festival
6. Thursday	1 May	National Labor Day
7. Monday	5 May	Substitution for Coronation Day(Sunday, 4 May 2025)
8. Monday	12 May	Substitution for Visakha Bucha Day (Sunday, 11 May 2025)
9. Tuesday	3 June	H. M. Queen SuthidaBajrasudhabimalalakshana’s Birthday
10. Thursday	10 July	Asarnha Bucha Day
11. Monday	28 July	H.M. King Maha VajiralongkornPhra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s Birthday

For all securities companies and derivatives business operators in Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Satun, and Songkhla provinces, extra holidays are given for Eidal – Fitr Day (Ramadan Day), Eidal – Adha Day (Raya Hajji Day) announced by the Sheikhul Islam Office, and the Chinese New Year Day if the date does not fall on any of the holidays listed above or Saturday and Sunday.
