Isuzu Motors has announced the launch of the new D-MAX one-tonne pickup truck and the MU-X seven-seater passenger vehicle in Thailand, starting from November 28. Both models feature the newly developed RZ4F 2.2L diesel engine, which is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission, enhancing performance and fuel efficiency.
The RZ4F engine delivers 120 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque while minimizing noise. Isuzu’s improvements in combustion and turbo settings promise significant upgrades compared to previous models, with the new transmission providing a wider gear range and better torque management.
Isuzu’s focus on a multi-pathway strategy includes advancements in both internal combustion and electric vehicles, supporting its goal of a carbon-neutral future. Customers can soon expect a battery-powered D-MAX, set to launch globally starting in 2025.
