Introduction to the AMRO Forum
The ASEAN+3 Economic Cooperation and Financial Stability Forum, commonly known as the AMRO Forum, serves as a significant platform for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge and ideas on regional and global economic cooperation and financial stability. Recognized as a hub for dialogue, this forum brings together experts and stakeholders from ASEAN+3 countries to address pertinent economic issues impacting the region.
Co-Organizers and Forum Theme
In its third iteration, the AMRO Forum is proud to collaborate with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Bank of Korea. Together, they aim to strengthen macroeconomic and financial resilience in the region. This year’s theme, “Sustainable Growth: Reinforcing Resilience, Revitalizing Productivity,” reflects the region’s pivotal stage of development. Challenges such as geoeconomic fragmentation, aging populations, climate change, and rapid technological advances necessitate a re-evaluation of the region’s growth strategy.
Agenda and Participation
The forum aims to tackle short-term risks while exploring long-term strategies for economic growth. It promises insightful sessions featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions that will offer innovative solutions to stabilize the macro-financial landscape of the region. The event is scheduled for December 16, 2024, and offers online participation. Interested individuals are encouraged to register through the designated platform for an enriching experience.
